Subject: police certificate
I am trying to apply trough skilled worker. I am not sure whether I should get police certificate before I send my application or not. I am in USA right now. In the instruction of the application form, it stated that I should not get police certificate from US unless I has been asked to after submission of application. Maybe I should get police certficate from my original country and submit it with all the other docs?

Thanks.

No need for PCC now (in reply to: police certificate)
You should follow whatever application says. My friend thought like you and submitted FBI clearance along with the application. But they asked again when they started processing the application. Because PCCs are valid for only max. 6 months. So there is no need to get them now as anyway you will have to get second time again.

Loka Barsi - maybe you ought to check with FBI on the time frame for Background check. I recognize the fact that you should wait till you recieve request from CIC, but to begin process for PPC at 6th month of AOR is not a bad strategy.

Weigh Pros and Cons -

At max if needed another doc is cost of $18
On other if you go past the deadline you loose you app - loss of 1 year + financial loss of about $500-700 + mental distress.

In my view my friend; begin working on additional docs max in the 6th month from your AOR (Buffalo takes 9 months to get back on IA) -with 6 months validity you are still OK on the PPC.

Hay Che,

Check the buffalo website again... they´ve updated the FBI requirements to be submitted at application instead of waiting for the office to request
