I watched a Tv news report saying that as green card rules are becoming strict in US, over 5,00,000 foreign workers currently in US will be appyling for Canadian PR this year, Imagine how much will be the provessing times at Buffalo , It will me minium 4-5 years now

actually, common sense tells that this story has merit. its becoming increasingly difficult to secure labour certification which precedes the green card. go to any canadian immigration forum and you´ll see that most of the people are H1B visa holders that are nearing the end of their eligibility. how many time have we seen questions about "going to canada on H1B and returning to US"??
btw, 5,00,000 is an invalid number..lol!!
