Subject: Delay in PCC
  Hi,
I have to apply for PCC from 2-countires that I stayed longer. I have submitted the passport and all docs to one of them and yet to receive. It is nearing 2-months now. I am afraid if I will run out of time (90-days) to get the second PCC, after I receive my passports. Can anyone suggest what am I required to do?..write to CHC asking for more time?? or just send one PCC and indicate that the other one follows??? Any pointers will be helpful.

Thanks

You are right in the second alternative. If you have recieved 1 PPC; submit that with other docs (if required) with a clear cover letter mentioning that you are working on the 2nd PPC and when you will be able to send it in. Send the package through courier or certified and keep all copies. 90 day deadline is an indicator + 10-15 days is OK only if you have submitted other docs. However if you are getting too close my suggestion is to follow up closely and get the PPC fast.

I had read a great suggestion from someone to begin working on PPCs after 6 months of AOR reciept. As these take at least 2-3 months itself. And CIC request reach you at least 15 days from dated (so technically you have 2 and 1/2 months and not 3 months).

If CIC or anyone at CIC follows this forum then this is for CIC; CIC should modify it´s wording to state 3 months from the date you recieve the letter or provide the additional 10-15 days it takes for the mail to come to you.

Thanks mate for the suggestion. I think I will send one and ask for more time for the second.

Many thanks.
