Subject: PR and f-2 visa for daughter
  Hi,

I applied for PR from usa as i am on F-1 and my wife was on f-2 , now my wife is f-1 , she started studying and also she gave birth to our daughter in india who is presently living with my parents i.e her grand-parents.

My questions were:

1) do i need to declare change of visa from f2 to f-1 for my wife?
2) should i include my daughter for PR process without getting her a f-2 (dependent Visa) from usa embassy?
3) can we get the medicals done from india, as i am not planning to get my daughter to usa till i complete my studies and so go to india and all 3 of us get medicals done there?

I appreciate your replies, thanks for your posts.regards

1. You can. At a later stage CIC will ask for proof of stay (legality) etc. from the time of application
2. Yes
3. Yes

Thx harry,

so this means that i can add my daughter as dependent even if she has no usa visa in her passport, how can she come to canada..can we get the pr visa to her without even her coming to usa?

Technically your daughter is not a legal resident of the US , so iam not sure if her application can be added to a file being processed in the US.

Probably Iam wrong and all they are concerned about is the Principal Applicant (you) and not bothered about the residential status of the dependants.
