Hey guys,
I have applied from US and did my medical. My BF lives in Canada and we were thinking of getting married. If I do, would this help my application process? or would this actully push us back and CIC might say that my husband must sponsor me now that I am married to him and he is able to do so?

You have applied... under the skilled worker class? (I assume so as for any family class catagory you must be sponsored). If you are in the skilled worker catagory, and did your medical, then your application must be nearing its end, yes?
Under skilled worker class, if you marry, you application can continue without him sponsoring you; however, you must inform CIC of your application status change (married).

Thank you, as long as CIC will not force mw to drop this out and he has to sponsor me and I have to go over this all again. Yes, I did my medical in Dec 05, I still have not heard from them. I am hoping that my application is near end. How would you know?

You will have to tell them if you decide to get married. If I were you , I will complete the whole process and then get married. I am kinda same situation but will not get married unless I receive my PP request.
