You can include your daughter for sure. The CIC page list that you include all dependants or children even if you do not look after them. The fact that the child is yours and not in the states does not mean Jack to them. If your child was stateless then it would have been an issue. Go ahead mate.

I have a question....
Say I get my Passport request this year in Sept and Canada wants me to land before Nov. But we are expecting a child in Nov, then what is procedure we need to follow so that we do not get into any problem situation as far as the PR for my child ?
If the kid is born after we land, is that okay and we can just apply for his/her PR as a dependent ?
Thanks.

Just to make it a little clearer (my bad).....

I live in US, and I plan to come back to US immidiately after we land in Canada. Also are we allowed to land in the ending months of pregnancy ?

Any experiences are appreciated.

Raj,
Since you live in the US, it would not be problem to go to Canada anytime soon. The thing with PR is that, after it is issued, I believe you have a 9month to 12 month window to land. If your baby comes during this time window, CIC categorically states to update them on any change in situation. All you have to do is return your passports and include a copy of the baby´s birth certificate and 7 pp photos so that this can be added. I do not think this should be an issue. The alternative is to cross the border now and have your baby in Canada. In doing so, you do not have to file an application on the baby´s behalf since he/she is already canadian. My question to you is, have you completed all the processes? Medicals, backgroud check, paid landing fees etc? There is no guarantee you would be called soon but it is better to prepare for any ineventuality. You did not also state confidently when the baby is beind born. My advise, wait for the baby to be born and let events unfold. If your baby is born before the PPR you can add the baby to your application. If the baby is going to be born after, then the baby qualifies since you are already a permanent resident. Hope I am clear on this. Any questions please shout.
Jes
