Hi Guys,
Glad to tell u that my e-client changed on April 17 to "Medicals received". The time lines are:
In-Canada Student - SW Applicant
Applied : Nov 2004
AOR : Feb 2005
IA : Dec 2005
Medicals : Jan 2006
e-Client Changed : April 17, 2006
I live in one of the smaller cities of Canada,on the eastern coast, far away from Toronto. When I did not receive the Passport request even by April 21, 2006, sent Buffalo a e-mail telling them that it appeared from the e-client that they had sent the passport request, but I was yet to receive it. In about 3 hours they sent a reply stating that the passport request letter was sent out on April 11, 2006 and can re-send it if required. In another 30 minutes, another e-mail was received stating that the letter has been re-sent. Hopefully the first letter should be received by me on 24th April.
Thought those of you who have completed the medicals and waiting would be happy to know that Buffalo has taken up the applciations of Nov 2004 for passport issue. By the way I am a girl from the middle east. It appears that they have not taken much time for my background checks.

Congrats
I also have almost the same timeline but my medicals took a month to reach ottawa. i.e., i did the medicals on 3th Feb and they reached ottawa on 6th march..Can you share when your medicals reached Ottawa.

Cuincanada, I did not follow up the date when the Medicals were received in Ottawa. I understand that the Medical Examiner forwards the documents within two weeks of completion of the Medical examination.However, irrespective of the date at which these are received at Ottawa/ Buffalo, the e-client changes to "medicals received" only when the background checks are completed and they are ready to issue the Passport request letter.
By the way, I completed the medicals in the first week of Jan.Hope you too receive your letter soon.

Cedy that is great news. I myself am an in-canada applicant on a post-grad work permit. My medicals reached Ottawa on April 10th and I hope to get my PPR by October, but by the looks of your case I may have it even sooner. Let´s hope so. Thanks for updating your info on here and congratulations on your getting your PPR.
