Landed at Peace Bridge. Immigration officers were very friendly. Arrived at the bridge the same day I got my visa stamped from Buffalo. All they asked me was for an address in Canada to mail the PR card. They provide instructions for applying for the SIN and the OHIP card. Customs was 5 steps away. All they asked me was for the list of goods (bringing now and later). I was almost done with the customs when I realized I had more than 10k with me. So I went ahead and declared the funds. The officer outside the station looked at the slip (declaration form) and said "Good day sir". Thats it!

Jay, did you apply under some special class? How come you got your PR so fast? Could you let us know about you case? What nationality are you? Where did you apply from? Did you apply as a Federal Skilled Worker? Did you have HRDSC confirmed work? That kind of info will help us know more about your case. Thank you and congratulaions.

Dear Joy/sk,
I applied from Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker after two years of employment in Canada. I am an Indian Citizen at present. I did not have a "HRDSC confirmed work". I do have more than one degree in the field of engineering and business from the US along with 10 years of work experience (US).

For the cases that are pretty clear, the IA is fast just like Jay´s. I hope that is the case with me and many of you, if so I should get my PP request by June this year.
