Can anyone tell me what these acronyms that have been used on this website mean? (AOR, IA & PPR)

AOR - Acknowledgement of Reciept - it officially states that VIsa Office got your application forms
IA - Initial Assessment - states wether you pass or fail on your documents check and points evaluation
PPR - PassPort Request - Visa Office is asking for your passport to be stamped with the Visa (your nose on the tip of the finish line)

IA also means initial approval which a sponsor from canada receives before the file is forwarded to the overseas embassy for the applicant (their spouse) for further processing
