I had applied for Canadian Skilled Worker class immigration. At the time I applied I did not have any kids. I recently received my approval and request for Medical Examination . But now I have baby girl who is US citizen. Does my baby need canadian permanent residency if she is a US citizen. Can she still retain her US citizenship if I apply for her Canadian residency. Please advise.

Hi Ash.
First of all, congratulations on the new addition.
As for adding your child to your application, you will need to include this person in your application if you want her to accompany you to Canada. To do so, you will need to inform the Canadian visa office, responsible for your file, that you have a new dependent.
What will be required really depends upon what stage your application is at, but at the very least, you will need to submit the appropriate application forms, supporting documentation (i.e. birth certificate, etc), and government fee(s). Your child will also need to undergo a medical examination, so I recommend that you wait for her medical forms before starting undertaking your exams (note: you may need to ask for an extension to the deadline for completing your medical exam).
And finally, note that, depending upon the officer and your application´s current processing stage, this may add a three-to-six month delay in your application´s processing.

Hi,
What documents I need to submit for the following query
Detailed arrangements made for your non-accompanying child.
Do i need to send affidavit from my parents who will take care of my child for some time? I plan to leave her in my home country for primary education and will apply for PR later as member of Family class.
