Subject: Required funds to Canada !
I?m going to apply under the skilled worker program in a couple of months in South America. The problem is at this time I don?t have enougn money to prove the required funds they ask, I just have a couple of thousands. Can I send the application with this low money quantity ?

I can prove the required funds selling a small property I have, but it will take me some months from now. Can I show the new funds after, while the process is running ? It will delay the application ? Should I wait until they call me for an interview to show the money, or should I send the cash prove before ?

they will not even move your file past the first gate without proof of funds. I would show an assessment or appraisal on your house plus your bank balance. if you have a mortgage... you will need to declare that against the cash equity in the house.

you need to show CIC how you will be coming into Canada with the required ´liquid´ funds.

But if ... (in reply to: Required funds to Canada !)
But if in my application I send proof of funds but not enough (5,000 for example), they will return or accept my application ? If accepted, they will ask later for a new funds proof prior to interview ?

don´t even waste the postage. I guarantee it will come back with a request to prove funds... if you don´t, they will keep your $550 an say sorry.

I don´t think you could do something with no money, they want to see your funds because nobody is going to help while the two first months untill you got the first job, so I guess the best way to do it is, fist sell your small property and then aplly, good luck

Funds for the port of entry (in reply to: Required funds to Canada !)
Hi,

I have received the Port of landing stamp in my passprt and am making a trip to Canada to establish residency but not settle there during this visit. What kind of proof of funds is recommended?

Should I be carrying financial instruments or actual cash/travellers cheques for proof of funds?

Has anyone entered Canada in order to just establish residency without intention of settlement ...and what kind of prrof of funds was required at the Port of Entry?
