whichever is the wrong one, the 1st or the 2nd submission, will be regarded as a fraudulent document, hence, if they found out you submitted a wrong document in the 1st submission, they will not only refuse you, they will put 2 years ban on your name because this has direct bearing on the decision of your case even with a sorry letter. If they will also recognize sorry letters from a lot of mistakes from a lot of people all over the globe, what do you think will happen to the system? Best is to do Ms. Sharon´s advice, get a lawyer.

I don´t think this is as drastic as we all think. If it was reversed - where documentation and verification show that work experience is less than declared- then yes... our friend is up a creek without a paddle.

If however, there has been an error and his employment records indicated a longer term of employement and this can be verified by tax records, and payroll stubs- maybe even bank statements - then I would think CIC would not consider it any more than a mistake. But to be sure - the second round of info better be genuine and accurate because you would be asking for the wrath of CIC if you attempted to play games with them. Be sure they will check that letter 100 different ways, if it is a make or break situation in terms of points.

I still say - seek the advise of an immigration lawyer.
