I immigrated to Canada sometimes mid last year and also in the next month I got a job in the US and now I am working in the US...
I have 2 years before I return back to Canada and start living there... [maintin my legal immigrant status]
My question to you guys is that if I open a business in Canada and I work for my company...[self-employed] then can I still come and work in US and claim that I am working for my ocmpany who has a contract with the company in the US and so my presence is required... Will this help maintain my legal Canadian immigrant status... and help me get my citizenship...
Previously, I have lived in Canada for almost 7 years as a foreign student but now because of the job I have to stay in the US...
I dont mind paying taxes in US and Canada... but the main thing is maintaining my legal status...
What do you guys think... is it doable...
