  Hey,

You seem to be very knowledgable in cracking CAIPS codes..I would appreciate if you can help me with mine..

APPLIC. REC´D: 07-12-2004
IMMCAT: SW1
PSDEC: 1 28-11-2005
BDEC: 28-11-2005
OREQ: 0
SELDEC: 4 28-11-2005
MEDDEC: 0
FINDEC: 0

STAUS SEC CRIM
1

PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF´D TO: MOS ON 09-03-2008

NOTES:

B AND CRIM ASSESSMENT:
B
CRIM - PASSED. CLEAR RCMP PRINT CHECK ON FILE.

CASE TO QUEUE MOS FOR MEDICAL ISSUANCE IN 2006

Background: Student in Canada for 4 yrs. Applied through Singapore. Made a request to transfer my file to buffalo in the middle. They have not made the transfer ...instead sent me a letter saying my application will be fast tracked since I am already in Canada. They have also said that "I have passed the initial assessment. The next step is doing financial, medical, criminal, and background check"..That letter came in december 2005.

My question is: It looks like they are waiting for my background check to be completed prior sending the medical forms? If my background check finishes before 2008(which should happen) will they wait till March 9,2008 for medical issuance or they would issue me the medical right after my background check is completed? How long do you think it will take to finalize the whole process? The background check is another security check? or verification of the info that I´ve provided?..

I would really appreciate your help.

I´m only 80% sure of my answers since most of the FAQs, I already asked my lawyers.

ok this is strange, you´ve studied in Canada for 4 years (presumably up to now) but on Dec, 2004, you gave your application through Singapore?, which has triple processing times as Canada, why?
AOR: Dec. 12, 2004
After a year they started your background check, they checked your SEC and CRIM first, you are cleared and they did additional checks within Canada (RCMP), then they screened your papers, it passed and you seem to have good points, SELDEC 4 - which means your interview is waived.

Paper file sent to PA file (this means they put your file on storage, bummer) and bring forward date to March, 9, 2008 (this is the Singapore office standard deadline for them to make a final decision)
fortunately they pulled your file on queue for medical issuance this year. You should receive it within this year and then the background checks will start. They will simply check your educ, employment and current assets in their respective countries issued. After that PPR.

Thnx Boloxis...Yes that was pretty strange..the only reason I didn´t apply through buffalo is because of the visa issue..I am a muslim from bangladesh and got rejected 3 times for US student visa..so I thought rather than taking a chance again..I would just apply through Singapore...and at that time I was unaware that Singapore takes soooo longgg..according to the CIC website it was supposed to take 16-36 months(depending on wheather I need an interview) and buffalo would take 14-26 months..It exponentially increased after I sent my application .

But anyways..luckily they did pull up my file after I sent a file transfer request and started processing my app prior on its queue. You said that the background check will start after they issue the medical? Didn´t they start that already on nov 28,2005?

Thnx again..

T-11 is PSDEC, T-12 is SELDEC, T-13 or Background checks is composed of actually 5 checks and only one is used to check the 6 selection factors. SEC, CRIM, FIN, OREQ, and MEDDEC. Each visa office has their own standard order chain AND your immigration officer also has the power to change it. Standard for Singapore is they start the OREQ and FIN after they recieve the medicals but who knows what else your immigrtation officer has in store for you...
