Hello friends.
Finally I received my CAIPS yesterday.
Please could you help me understand a few thingsThere are so many pages ,how do I know the current (latest updated page )When we receive the notes how does one know the date the notes have been generated on.I requested my notes on 09/07.
1. We had submitted the ROLF and the FBI on 09/29. There is no record of receipt.
This was submitted by me in person in the NY consulate.
2. It seems they have received the medicals on 07/14/04, however the notes show that no decision has been taken based on the medicals received.MEDDEC=0
3. For Security Decision .it reads as BDEC =1 04/06/203.Does this mean the background checks are completed .Is SDEC (security decision ) different from SDEC.On my notes I don?t see any SDEC anywhere.
4.Do you know what is OREQ.Mine shows as 0.
4. My biggest concern is that they have changed the BF dates and there are two BF dates.In most places the BF date is 01-09-2004 but in two places it shows as 01-09-2005? Is this a typing error? It is scary if we have to wait until 01-09-2005.

When I received my notes they sent a cover letter so I know when they generated the notes. There is also a section in CAIPS notes that tells you when you have ordered CAIPS notes.
My CAIPS notes consists of a section which lists the activities on my file along with the date e.g. change of add, initial assessment and it even mentions the date when they received request for CAIPS notes.

It takes time for them to update this information.

It takes them on an average 3-4 months to make a decision on medicals. Zero just means that on the date the notes were issued your medical decision was still pending.

You have passed the background check. Yes BDEC is different than SDEC. I also dont have SDEC on my CAIPS notes.

OREQ - Other requirements. Have they asked you to submit additional documents? Most probably they have not be assessed yet.

When one BF´D date expires (if I may say that) the immigration officer puts another BF´D on it. Let me emphasize this date has NO SIGNIFICANCE. You will not have to wait till 2005.

16.October 15th E-client changed to "Medicals RECD"
17.Checked with Bank ,It seems ROLF Check is encashed on OCTOBER 15th
Appreciate your response .
1. Unfortunately there is no way I can tell from my notes what was the date it was printd on ,I sent an enquiry to caips and they came bk with this reply
"Unfortunately at the present time Ottawa does not include the date when the report was printed. Ottawa prints the report normally within 2 weeks after they receive the request for the CAIPS file. Then they make sure that the
Content conforms with the Information Act. An approximate date would be about2-3 weeks from when we sent the request to Ottawa which is Sep 07.Should you have additional questions please feel free to contact us again"

Hi Shabnam,
I know its easier said than done but you should relax. It has been a very long wait for you but you should be happy now as you are almost there.
Just a quick question - are the following dates correct?

I was reviewing my notes "CASE VALIDITY STATUS"
Right after where the PPT validity dates are written,there is a SEC DEC date as 25-12-2004.Please could you advise what is this date.
