Subject: Expedite work permit for international student? |

Hi everyone!
I graduated last year and received two year post graduation work permit. I worked on a contract for six months (contract ended) and am looking for a job now.
Question: Is it true that if you arrive in person to Vagreville, Alberta, the officer will process your work permit for you ASAP? I know we´re supposed to mail it, but it takes too long (and I´ve lost a job already because of it).
Thanks!

(in reply to: Expedite work permit for international student?) I know in Toronto you can go to one location where you can get your permit in a day´s time. Not too sure about Vegreville. I´m sure it´s possible I just dont know where you would go. Sorry.

(in reply to: Expedite work permit for international student?) Candice!
One question: In Halifax, the local immigration office will process the work permit the FIRST time we apply. But if we switch job, we need to apply to Vegreville.

--Would they process my work permit in Toronto (if I´m not from Toronto?)Thanks!!!!
