Hi Guys
I see for some people that file is getting transfered to Detroit,LA etc from Buffalo. Is this the case for all applicants? I applied as a skilled worker and just wanted to know why Files get transfered before getting IA.Please share some information on this regard.

recently some people have had their files transferred in order to expediate their file because buffalo is back-logged

Buffalo is a Regional Processing Centre for LA, Seattle, Detroit and in the package applicants can pick which one they want their file to go to. All visa posts are backlogged since 1998 directive stating any application submitted outside a persons country had to be interviewed. See Auditor General Report 2000 Immigration section 3.150 Its now regulation 11 that slows things down.
IF YOU ARE IN THE STATES IT IS FAR BETTER TO TRY TO GET YOUR FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER APPLICATION SWITCHED TO A PNP
Depending on the province and your occupation 50% of all PNP applications are completed in 8 months.
Most Provincial Nominee Programs under skilled worker just require a full time employment offer.

from what i understand, they will do it on their own depending upon the case details and the category ..
