| Subject: Mississauga processing time? |

Hi,
My wife is sponsoring me in the family class for immigration to Canada. We currently live in the USA. We sent our application via US Postal Service Global Express mail on October 1, 2004. Unknown to us the USPS transfers their Global Express mail to Purolator, which cannot deliver to a PO Box. Since the Case Processing Centre-Mississauga´s address is a PO Box Purolator could not deliver it there. Thankfully, Purolator was good enough to look up the physical address of the Case Processing Centre and deliver it directly to their office on October 7. However, we have not been able to get any confirmation that they accually received the application. We have not received anything from them acknowledging the receipt. The web site does not recognize that we exist. We have been unable to contact them.
Questions:
Is there a way for someone in the US to contact Mississauga to see if they have our application?
If they do have it, how long should I expect to wait until I get some sort of confirmation from them?
At what point do I assume they did not get it and send another application?

Go the following web page:

This is the best place to get an indication on processing times through Mississauga. As you will notice, they have started processing applications received on or before October 4. So, because you said you know they received your file on October 7, then they are probably just about to start your file. It then takes about 32 days to process sponsorship approval in Mississauga at the moment, so you will recieve the sponsorship approval letter in a few weeks.

Where Exactly I must send my application (in reply to: Mississauga processing time?)
Hi There! It is a bit confusing. I rrecently maried and want to sponser my spouse who is living with me in canada on a visitor Visa. On explore CIC website, I came to know that spousal sponsership applications are processed in Mississauga but application kit is saying that I should send application at CPC vegerville. please suggest and advice as it is not clear on CIC website.

Sir/Madam,
I´m Janefer Serna-Maseko, live in Blk 9 Lot 16 & 18 Loremar Homes 2 Antipolo City, PHILIPPINES married to Linton V. Maseko of 1156 Beauty Ave. Winnipeg Manitoba. My friend in Winnipeg informed me that Linton is so ill and being confined in St. Boniface Hospital (tel. no.237-21-93) right now under intensive care. I called the hospital since yesterday, they say that he is so sick, his kidney doesn’t work good, he need a lot of test. I don´t have any idea about any relative of him that may take care of him out there in this very moment. Linton did started processing my papers for the spousal sponsorship but I don´t know how far we are in to the process. I want to take care of him and stay beside him at this very unfortunate time but I´m facing a blank wall. Can you please give me updates about his condition and can you give me some information on how I could come the quickest way possible to take care of him.
