I wish to spend summer in Canada, My visa expires May 30, 2006, So do I need a travel visa to stay here until like say June-July-Until Mid August, Will I be deported when in Mid Aug I go back to my country on grounds that I was illegal in Canada for 2 months, My PR is in Process at Buffalo AOR OCT 05. I will appreciate if someone can give me link to 90 days grace period after visa expiry, CIC call center people in Canada are rude and useless, they simply pass the call and tell me visit their website, Worst part is different call center agents give different information on this

From my knowledge- you can apply for extention of your visa, and you should definetely do that. On this grounds you can stay in Canada legally for 2 months since your present visa´s expiration date (till the end of July), after that you should leave or can be deported. That´s info I was given calling to CIC while being in Canada on Study permit. YOu can call them again and inquire. But if your stay here will be illegal, it would probably affect your application.

You can apply for restoration of status after expiring your visa, provided that you should have reason to restore it. Like get admission to school, get job etc.
