Subject: Sharon(not Ariel) for President !!
Suddenly the "Post Reply" option seems to have disappeared from the other thread.

Anyways, Sharon would you please post the link to the procedure manual you referred to in the other thread and where the information is mentioned in the doc.

Thank You.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/manuals-guides/english/op/op01e.pdf (procedures)

I too was curious about what constitutes a complete application... OP 6 says

1) signed and completed IMM0008Gen
2)the visa, permit or authorization being applied for is specified;
3)the class in which the application is made is specified
4) there be provided a signed statement that the information provided is complete and accurate;
5)the application be accompanied by payment of the correct cost recovery fee
6)proof of official language proficiency be attached in the form of the results of an approved language test or written submission.

they then say...
Visa offices should accept the application if all of the above requirements are met and should signify by date-stamping the application.

If the above criteria is not met... documents are returned, no file created.

your comment made me laugh. You can imagine the fun I have with my name- my fiance is Arab. Being a good Irish/German Canadian does not save the name from bad feelings. It is not even pronounced the same. I Can´t even send a parcel without problems for my man. Needless to say, my Arab family have chosen a different name for me that is more endearing:)

From what I understand is that all Chosen1 is asking is what happens to the fee "If the above criteria is not met... documents are returned, no file created."

In this case the fee is returned.

not quite... I don't think (in reply to: Sharon(not Ariel) for President !!)
the way I am reading it... if everything is returned (the window is very small) you are given the option of resending documents or requesting a refund. the cheques does not come back automatically. I could be wrong...

Thanks Sharon.

I think I have made enough noise about my case.

Now I will just wait and see what happens.

The Chosen1.

this discussion would be much more productive if people keep their opinions to themselves and just stick to the facts of the case and what the law/regulations state. the immigration process is long and hard enough already for each and everyone of us to start being negative on other people. the glass is always half full.
