Subject: IA and medical forms One mail? or seperate?
  Hi,
I recently received medical forms and all related info about it only. I am not clear if this is the IA? since this is the only thing I got so far. I am a little confused since I don´t know if if these forms are received after IA receiving or before?
My AOR is March 2005.

I am curious because there is no finger prints requested in this letter, they are just the medical examination forms and related instructions.

Appreciate your time and suggestion, that could clarify things a bit for me.

Regards,
Shan

In my case, I received medical forms and IA waiver. No additional docs were sent or requested.

ok, so you mean if you only receive medical forms, that indicates IA waiver? It might be the same in my case as well, then. I wasn´t just sure of such case before though.....well seems to be something good then.

did you not send any finger prints etc...?
I wonder once you go through the medical procedure and send the documents in, what´s the next thing to expect and in how long?(just a rough estimate of course).

Thanks for your reply.

Receiving your medicals forms means that you IA is complete and interviw is probably waived (happened to us). Additional docs and something else can be requested a little bit later.
How fast you´ll come to the next stage (PPR) will depends on how fast your background checking is complete, deviation is huge --> from month (one guy from US on this forum had the whole immigration procedure done in 10 months) to years (took 1.5 years from medicals to us - incredibly long for some reason).
Suggestion: do your medicals and in 2 month order the CAIPS if you won´t hear from CIC before.

Hell: Thanks for the reply on this, it gave me a good idea about the timeframe involved. Have you had your finger prints done yet? I wonder when is that requested?

Rookie: If you happen to read this thread, could you please answer the same question I asked above? thanks.

Anonymous: Timeline is:
App sent: Start of Feb
AOR: Late March 2005
Transfer letter: None
IA received: Early May.

Thanks.
