Hi,
My medicals have expired last week.I have sent an e mail and a fax too but have got no response yet. What else can i do?Aren´t they suppose to contact us if meds expire and either ask us to re-do the medicals or extend them? Can anyone advice?
Thanks.

hello,

my medical expired in june 2005, i kept sending them email inquiring about the situation , they will nor reply
Until the end on December , where they contacted me to let me know that they were requesting passports without having to re do the medicals.

being in the US, i went to Buffalo and stamped my visa , i will be landing , God willing, in two weeks
So hang in there , no news can be good news :)

good luck

I don´t think you can push your case anyhow, just calm down and wait a little longer.
You should order the CAIPS to know the stage of your application process. You might get reply on you e-mail in a week, may not get it. Don´t worry, there is nothing wrong, they are just too busy. You may get letter with extention of your medical validity, may be asked to get the second one, but I think you will get PPR sooner, CIC speeds up processes now.
We applied in Oct. 2003, our medicals expired on Sept. 2005, and from the time they were done in Sept. 2004 we did receive any letters from CIC untill March 22, 2006 (more than 6 months after the meds expiration date), when we got PPR. 4 CIC e-mail responses on our requests did not contain any info about medicals.

Hope, it helps, don´t worry, I think you´ll be get PPR soon.

There are times where an old medical will stand if the immigration process has taken longer than necessary due to overload. They may consider your application, and medical and use the old results.

Until they decide, you have to sit still. Our medical had been expired for 2 years..and they asked for a new one, but until they send you the FDC forms, you have to sit tight and hope that they will accept your medical. Ours was two years old...yours is just expired. It may pass, or they may decide to ask for a new one. They are in the driver´s seat on this one.

Keep thinking positive.
