Hi Pagla,

I remember you had an interview scheduled for May 15th in LA. Just wanted to find out how it went. Hope you stop by the forum soon, and can share your experience.

It went well and took only 15 minutes. Interviewer (she) didn?t ask me any question, just wanted to see my documents, such as educational certificates and US immigration status, nothing else. After that she told me she is satisfied without asking me any question. I passed the interview, however, didn?t like the way LA office work, they are slow and don?t know how to behave by default.

A lot of people asked why LA is slower; I found out that all of the visa officer or employees in LA office are oriental (or at least look like Chinese), with all due respect to oriental people ? bottom line is you will have better chance with white Canadian interviewer than any immigrant interviewer; Immigrants are more reluctant. I can justify their (immigrant) behavior, but it?s a long story and I?m not here to teach human psychology.

Sorry if I hurt anybody. My intention is not to start a debate. But I thought that it?s necessary to select the right interview venue.

Thanks for the info.
Did she give you any clues as to when you might be getting your PPR?

Have you done medicals and paid RPRF yet?

Also please can you share your timeline. Sorry if you have before, but don´t remember.

It seems that those who got interviewed by a woman at LA office had an easier/more pleasant experience than those who got a man. Just an observation...

She didn´t mention anything about PPR, may be she doesn´t speak very well or may be she is too shy to speak

I paid fee and did the medical.

Any way the guy and the lady both are rude, they need to go to school to learn how to behavior in a civilize society; I completely understand that they are immigrant, you must adopt the better.

I hope you live in California. When you did your medicls, how much did you pay. The doctors on SF is asking $450/person. Is it really that high?

JANHK,
No I don´t live is California; I paid 250 for my medical.

Call all the doctors office and find the cheapest one.
If you can?t find less than $450, just go ahead and do the medical.

Please pagla don´t mind. There are many of the oriental people are good too. But you know some may be mean as you should understand from what back ground they come from. That makes them so mean. But their number is less. One of my Friend from India was telling that when ever she goes to an orental resturant she finds that oriental people greets the white customers as How are you sir or Wel Come but when they see some customer srom asia they just ask How mini (Their way How Many ).I had the same answer for her. So never mind. All of them are not bad. Oriental countries are rich but they don´t welcome people to immigrate, You are immigrating in a country where people loves people.
