Here is my experience on Medicals I had recently:

1. Of course take prior appointment when you go for medicals. Will cut down time of wait (even though most are walk-in clinics).

2. Find the charge of medicals. Check if they take CC; as most take cash or check only.

3. Take 3 Passport Size pictures.

4. Take a form of ID.

5. Dress casually (you´d be taking clothes for physicals and X-Rays).

6. You´d be asked to fill out couple of forms - so show up about 1/2 hr before your appointment time.

7. Here is all it is:

(A) Form fill out/ Paperwork and Payment
(B) Basic vitals are taken (Height/ Weight/ Blood Pressure/ Temp Etc.)
(C) Urine sample is taken
(D) Vision Test is taken (tell them if you wear contacts)
(E) 2 Test Tubes of blood are taken
(F) X-Rays are taken
(G) This is followed by extensive physical exam by the physician. All means all - so be mentally prepared. However does not take more than 15 minutes.
(H) Then you are basically explained what the clinic will do and when the paperwork will be sent out to CIC.

That is that - you are done!!

P.S - Go over the instructions given out by CIC with rep from clinic to make sure all paper-work is going to be filled out and everything is complete. Normally these clinics do the tests for Canada all the time and know what is to be done. I really mean for the ones where they may not be doing tests regularly or may have a newely hired rep. who may not know what all needs to be done!!

As the responsibility of medicals reaching in proper format is yours and not clinics.

hummm... mine was slightly different...

For mine they requested 4 immigrations photos. Also they only took 1 test tube of blood. Who knows though... maybe my test tube was of a larger size? They better have not messed up!

Cheers
