Subject: Timing
On the Canadian High Commission web site for London it shows that they hope to process 30% of skilled worker applications in 17 months. Can anyone confirm that that´s 17 months from the time they start processing or 17 months from AOC. I received AOC in January 2005 and the note said expect to wait 21 months. Is that 21 months until mine gets to the front of the queue to start processing?
Thanks for any advice you can offer on this one.

this percentage (30%)is accurate only, if you submit an idle application. When you miss some documents or info or your App. was not professionaly done, a big delay will follow. To check your status ask for your CAIPS file

Can you explain what an "Idle Application" is?
My application was not ´proffessionally´ done as the High Commission say that no preference is given to applications compiled by lawyers, agents etc. over those prepared by individuals.

He means that if they have to get back to you to ask for more documents or clarification on the documents you sent them, it would take a few extra months.
