Subject: 90 deadline for follow-up docs
Would anyone know why some applicants are required to send follow-up docs (i.e., medical, FBI) within a 90 day deadline, while others are not given a deadline?

I think pretty much everyone is given a deadline. A deadline is a reasonable request since the offices cannot hold your file open indefinately.

Hmmm, I received no deadline to do medicals/FBI. I went over eveything many times and no mention of any required completion date.

Maybe relates to where one´s file is or has been transferred to; e.g., I received no deadline from Detroit; however, the instructions specified the medical should now be done and fee can now be paid if not yet paid. It´s probably true if you wait too long they assume you´re no longer interested and could close your file, as per Candice.

they will close your file if you do not reply within the time given. (reason I know... it happened to us). It does not matter why, how or what - they will close the file, thank you very much, please try again.

Sometimes it´s not that we WANT to wait, but HAVE to wait. I.E., foreign country police certificates can take 3 months or more, medicals might require follow-up with a specialist to confirm anything found is ok, etc. So understand for many applicants it´s waiting for bureaucracies that are out of our own control.

This is why 90 days is under discussion.

Hi, any one can tell me, how the CIC do the procedure or steps. I mean, what they do first like, security, criminal, medical etc. Which is one first or last? And what is end?
Thank you very much.
