| Subject: What is the detail to get the maple card? |

Hi,
I finally got my passport stamped with visa after years of waiting. Now I plan to land in Canada from U.S.A. Do you know the details of getting the maple card? Must I provide a Canadian address at the border of entry? Once I got the maple card, do I formally become its permanent resident? Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

You become a permanent resident on the day you land. You can provide them with an address for the pr card when you land or up to 180 days thereafter.

I just followed the regular procedure. It took about 2 years from the start.
Suppose I give them an address upon landing, do you know how soon I will get the maple card? Thanks.
