Can I apply for the Caips notes myself, as I am presently in Canada on a work-permit, or do I definitely need to use a permanent resident or a citizen of Canada to apply for me?

You can apply for your own CAIPS notes under the Privacy Act if you are living in Canada. Please visit the link:
