Subject: Visiting Friend in Canada for 6 months
hi everyone i was going to visit my friend in canada for 6 months. I have already been to see him once stay about 6 weeks. I had met him online and was truthful about it and went with only 100 dollars no return trip ticket (was cheaper that way at the time) and one suitcase I had no passport only birth certificate and id (from the US) and it was my first trip to canada. They allowed me to stay for 3 weeks we then applied for an extention so i could get my return trip ticket by time he received the results of that i had long been home. my question is this if i go for 6 months, have a return trip ticket, and a decent amount of spending money, and a US Passport, do i have to bring anything else with me so customs/immigration doesn´t hold me there, or turn me away, or worse yet say i cannot stay for the entire visit? i will be staying with him in his house. i just do not want any problems this time.

thanks for ur help!

You dont have bring anything else, what you mention is perfect. Just look for the date on the custom stamp when they let you in, its indication on how long you can stay if there is no date it mean you can stay up to 6 month, good luck and enjoy your stay..

Immigration will not hold you as long as you have US Passport. All you said is enough. Good Trip
