Your foreign driver´s licence may be valid for a short time after you arrive in Canada, but eventually you will need to take a Canadian driving test to get a canadian driving licence.

It depends on the province if they have a recipricol agreement. Saskatchewan has an agreement with Spain, South Korea Germany and a few others. Check out the different Ministry of Transportation provincial web sites.
That is how they get Long Haul Truck Drivers that are desperately needed in Canada.

each province entered agrremenst with foregn countries regarding thsi. I believe all of them have an agreement with the UK. you sshould be able to exchange the liscenec without a problem in QC Alberta On and probably all others. check on the web with respect to the province you will be living in.

Settling and job finding (in reply to: Pls help)
I am a pharmacist and my wife is chemist and we are with small kid. Firstly, I am worried about settling either in a big city or small town because living is cheap in towns as compared to big cities bt job oppurnities are less. Secondly,If we both are doing job,where uor kid will stay in working time. Really, Iam worried and need ur help and guide line.

In November I exchanged my full UK Licence for an
Ontario one cost $85.00 - no test necessary as UK test is far more intense than Canada (so the officer told me). You can drive for a period of 60 days on UK licence.
