Subject: Its all a timing issue right ????
  Guys,
Before I start .... my timeline is as follows:
Applied : Nov 2004 (Buffalo)
AOR : Mar 2005
IA : Dec 2005
Med + Docs: Feb 2006
--------------------------------
I have observed in the forum that some lucky ones have got the PPR and some have even landed who have similar timelines as mine.

Here´s my conundrum....
My wife is pregnant and her due date is in Nov. Now if I get my PPR anytime before Sept, I plan to get the VISA and land in Canada, and then apply for sponsorship for my child after its born in the US. You guys think its okay ?

But, if I get the PPR say in Oct/Nov, then what should I do ? Same as above ? I personally would not want to make that trip with my wife at that time. Any suggestions ?

My best case scenario is if they don´t send me any PPR this year and I add my kid to the application after its born and then they send us the PPR for the whole family at the same time. Please advice.

Hi Raj, my timeline is same as yours, but the only good thing is that my file got transferred to NY. Well, you have lot of time, I think you should get the PPR somewhere in July/Aug and even if you do you don´t have to land in Canada immediately. I think your intentions are to have your child get USA citizenship, this makes sense; since your wife´s due date is in sep it would be all ok.

If you don´t get you PPR and your child is born before that you have no option but to add him/her to your application.

i had the same problem..wife due in nov and i was thinking of getting the child delivered in usa but thankfully my ppr came yesterday..so she will deliver in canada..i would say if you get your ppr in june or july then go to canada cuse it will be a hassle sponsoring your child and adding him to your applicatio..it will delay your process however after august stay put and go through the adding and sponsoring procedure...i hope you get your passport within the next couple of weeks...
best of luck
