I guess you can only have up to 11 posts on any given topic so I have to start another thread. I read your reply and believe me...I have considered what you said, but there is something that I read on the Checklist that is included in the Buffalo kit (item no. 10)... "NON-ACCOMPANYING FAMILY MEMBERS DECLARTION (IF APPLICABLE): If you have a spouse, common-law partner or dependent children and you do not intend to include them in your application for permanent residence, submit with your application a notarized statutory declaration stating your intention to proceed to Canada without your family members, and confirming that you understand that your family members must meet immigration requirements in their own right if they wish to join you in Canada." So, if I did the application alone, later my partner would have to apply on his own and he does not qualify. If I try to sponsor him later, they could say that I signed this waiver and not be eligible. I want to be honest on the application and my main reason for wanting to immigrate is to be able to be with my partner. I don´t want to go to Canada and be separated! It seems so confusing. Who knows what they´ll say. Do you care to email, Friend? Maybe you have some more insight you can share about this sort of thing... Thanks!

Sure..I would love to...I might suggest something...or may be we can just brainstorm together..I am also going thru the same !!
Or the best soln is..if u get ur self PR and get married to him there in Vancouver, BC. They acknowledge gay marriages. U don´t have to show him as ur partner right now but later get married to him..anyway we can talk about this offline..send me an email..it wud be my pleasure of being some assisantce to u...but i am not a lawyer though..!!
