Subject: Any cheap- safe temporary places in Vancouver |

Hi All,
I hope someone can help me with my question..
I applied from Turkey and got my visa long time ago but I am planning to land in Canada in October because I got some projects to finish.
Since I do not know anybody in Vancouver or Canada and hiring an apartment online would be difficult and (in my opinion) not a good idea I am looking for a temporary place to stay with my child. I have already checked the net and found some places but I would really happy if any PRs or Canadians can recommend a good, clean, safe place where I can spend a week or two until I find a place on my own in Vancouver.
Thanks in advance your help will highly be appreciated.
Cheers

(in reply to: Any cheap- safe temporary places in Vancouver) When we land in Vancouver on December 2004, we stayed at greenbrier hotel in Robson St.
Here is their website: http://www.vancouver-bc.com/GreenbrierHotel/
I believe we pay about $50-$60/day and the hotel is clean and located in downtown Vancouver.
It has kitchen, 1 bedroom, and furnished livingroom like an apartment.
If you want cheaper alternative one of our friends stayed at YMCA apartment, dunno how much they paid tho.
Regards
Eric
