I have an indian citizenship and i am currently on SEGS work permit in the UK which ends on 31st October 2006. I got admission in university of manitoba for Phd. program starting Jan. 2007. Can I apply for student visa in the canadian embassy, london, UK before my visa in UK expires?or will i have to go back to india for visa?
Also, I have an immigration file running which should open by mid next year.
Confusing!!!! plz help

You can certainly apply for your student visa in london, UK.

Dear sir /madam,
i am Darly Thomas Indian, 38 years old female. I have done my degree in homeopathic medicine and post graduation in holistic psychological counseling. I have an IELTS score of 7.5 and work experience of 5 years as a psychologist and counselor in India. I have finished my first year in fitness and health promotion diploma from Loyalist College,Belleville,Canada and will be joining back for my second year in September 2008.
my family is in India, consisting of my husband and 2 minor children(11 and 7 years old).my husband is a B tech mechanical engineer (44yrs) from India and has a work experience of 15years in examining motor vehicles as he is working as a an inspector of motor vehicles.
i have temporary work permit from march 2008 onwards.i have a student visa till 2009 September. i came to know that it is faster to get PR if we applying from Canada instead of doing it from India through the CIC office at buffalo.i want your service for the same.

what are the chances for me to get work permit for canada.?
