| Subject: Do I need to tell CIC? |

I am currently in USA and I landed in Canada in June 2005 and came back to USA. I am planning to go to Canada permanently by Dec, 2006. Should I have to tell CIC about by absence since June 2005. Can I just show up on Canada border in Dec 2006 with my PR card and I am good to go.
Please advise.

Yes, you can simple show up within the 3yrs of when you landed with your PR card and cross the border.
