Folks,
I have a question regarding visitor´s visa. My wife is with me on 6 month visitor´s visa(6 month/visit multiple entry visa for three years) which expire by end of June 2006. We are planing to go outside Canada(UK/Paris) for 1 week and planing to return by mid June(before the visa expire). In that case, will she get another extension for 6 month or she´ll be allowed to stay here till end of June 2006.
I would appreciate if you could share your experience with me. BTW, I have sponsored her(out side canada sponsor) and the process is going on. Also, I have applied for an extension of visitor´s visa as well.

well:
whether she gets another 6 montsh depends on teh following
a) if she returns to Canada before the expiration than it is at the discretion of the officer to stamp again with additional 6 months, they may not.
b) If she retunrs after the current status expires she may get another 6 montsh
problem is here: you have made a request for an extention. if she leavs canada it as if she abandons the request and it may not be approved. all depends on processing time. When did she apply for the extention? what stage are you in the sponsoring process? give time line.
