| Subject: How to inform US customs |
We are planning to land in Canada from USA in July. We would take more than $10,000 dollars in the form of DDs or Traveler´s check,should we inform US customs that we are taking more than $10,000. If yes, how can we inform them. Could anyone please clarify this.

you have to inform us customs what kind of vehicle you want to import 72 hrs before you cross the border, it´s important,find phone for us customs where you will cross the border!!US Border is open 24 hrs but immigrant officers at canadian border somewhere don´t work 24 hrs, be sure you cross the border while day time it will help you avoid a lot of problems, but check your destination border place , GOOD LUCK!!!

THEY ARE NOT IMPORTING A VEHICLE..please read the complete question before answeing.user123 just go to us customs and tell them abt the money..they will see it and you will fill a white form..thats it.
