Hello
I am moving to US on J1 visa july 1st as my canadian employment contract is over, My PR file is in process at Buffalo, Can someone tell what things i need to do before in pack up from Canada.
Do i need to submit any documents etc to CIC

I think you should be fine. Just make sure
the address that CIC has on record is current.
By the way what is J1 category ?
