| Subject: Missed Deadline for PR Application- HELP!!! |

I only just realized that I missed the 90-day deadline for the PR application for supporting documentation by about 10 days. I sent them a fax explaining the issue to them. I also called the New York office and left a message on one of the officer´s phones. Has anyone had any type of experience with this? Does anyone know what the next step is? Is my case pretty much over? Will I be able to appeal the decision?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You should be fine. They won´t close your case because of 10 days, but don´t let it happen again.

Don´t worrry. You are fine. You have already sent them the fax explaining the situation so it will be all ok. If you have not already sent the documents do it right away.

Thanks all for your responses. I did put the documents in the mail, so they should get it tomorrow morning.
Sharon- sorry to hear about your experiences with Paris- what did you do? What was the outcome?

we sent ROLF as requested. It never arrived. Medical was done- everything. We knew something was wrong when our e-case disappeared. By then it was too late. We yelled, we cried, we went to our MP, we did everything. Too bad, please try again. 2 years for nothing and by the time we started again, the processing time had jumped to 36 months.

Dear Sharon,
I am so upset on reading your posting that your CIC e-cas disappeared before rejection. The same thing has happened with us now. The ecas used to show that our file was under process. One fine morning , It has disappeared. I noticed it when i came back after holidays. I called the local CIC Office and they said that they dont have control over ecas and the file is still in process. I am so worried now. Does it mean that our application has been rejected?

we were not rejected - the file died.
Don´t feel bad. It is long over, and we are on to a new application. In the mean time, my guy had a chance to earn a doctoral degree and help his family - so while it has been tough on our relationship, there has been a silver lining.
