Subject: Interview. |
Does anybody have an idea if, after medical received, FBI fingerprint, landing fee received, and decision made, is there a possibility for them to call for an interview. Because, it has been six weeks since "Decision Made" and I still have not received PP request.

(in reply to: Interview.) Hi,
Your delay is due to the Background Check.
Yes, you can be called for the interview if any suspicious document/s, fradulant claim/s or links to terrorism/espionage found during BC.
This is very RARE.

(in reply to: Interview.) Hi,
1) Background Check (BC):
=========================
There are two types of BC -
a) Security check - is conducted by the internal security deptt. of Canada and is a highly confidential process. Every principal applicant and dependants have to undergo this check. This check is done to make sure that no applicants are involved in espionage/sabotage/terrorism activities. BC needs no participation of the applicant.
b) Applicant related BC - is a process which confirms the claims of candidate about education, experience and other important issues. All the related documents are checked for their genuinity.
2) Third Party assesment:
==========================
This kind of assesment is done to demonstrate visa officer the potential of a candidate to be employed in canadian market as an engineer or technician. This is a kind of skill recognization of a candidate by a reputed organizations like CCPE (Canadian Council of Professional Engineers) and CCTT (Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists). This assesment is not mendatory under the IRPA.
Hope this helps.
