Subject: PPR Received -
Received my PPR today. I needed assistance on a few questions.

1. My expired passport has the U.S. Visa in it. My new passport which got issued from within the U.S. does not have any visa.

Should i send in my recent passport or both of them for the Immigration Visa to Buffalo?????

2. They have asked for 3 recent Photographs.

Should i get new pictures or can i use the ones that i have sent them with my application????

3. They have provided a Grey envelope for mailing the passports in.

Should i send it by USPS (Express mail) or should i send it regular mail in the Grey Envelope????

4. How long does it normally take CIC to return the Passports once i have mailed it out to them????

5. I paid $820.00 (U.S.)for landing fees. How do i request them for a refund, since the fees has been reduced??????

Congrat Tom, could you please share your timeline? I wish I did have the answers to your questions, but i am not there yet.My thoughts though are:

1. Send most recent passport
2. Send recent photos,´cause that´s what they ask for
3. You can place grey envelope in USPS (Express mail)envelope for tracking purposes and faster arrival. Also send return express envelope so that visa would get back to you sooner, otherwise CIC uses regular mail.
4. It depends on the visa office. Aprox two to three weeks from what I have read.
5. Cic will let you know or, check website cic.gc.ca

ANYONE ELSE WHO CAN HELP TOM?

I´m from the US and I recieved my PPR last week, and yesterday I too "placed grey envelope in USPS (Express mail)envelope for tracking purposes and faster arrival. Also sent return express envelope so that visa would get back to you sooner" with the tracking number I saw that it arrived in Buffalo today at noon.

Becasuse you and I did not get our Visa or land before May 3, they are "suppose" to send the refund with the Visa but I have to wait and see if that is true. Good luck.

For anonymous, photos should be less than 6 months old and stamped by photography shop (normally they stamp only date but it´ fine
