Has anyone in this forum applied and being granted a visitor visa while his/her PR is being processed?
I´ve been waiting for my PR for 8 MONTHS now (sponsored by wife). Since I am foreigner in the US, I don´t expect Buffalo will finished my application by December. I want to spend Christmas with my family, so the only way to see them is by applying for a visitor visa.
If anyone has done this, please share your experience with me.

Hi,
Yes, I have. It was no hassle and i showed them the file number reciept from CIC . I have been to canada 4 times while in the US on H1b visa.

I alos got the Canadian visitor visa without any hassle last month. The whole process for me took around two hours at CIC Buffalo. I mentioned in the application that my permanent visa application is progress with CIC Buffalo.
