I got my visa a couple of weeks ago and plan to land in Toronto from the US in about 5 days . Will be staying for only 48 hrs before returning to the US .
1. Do they ask for proof of funds when you land ?
2. What is the best way to show this if they ask ?
3. How much do i have to show ? I applied as skilled worker ( and i have a spouse )

You can take about US $2,000 in travel certificates and about US $7-8,000 on a US bank statement. If they ask tell them this is a scouting trip and you shall transfer funds when you are ready to settle in Canada.
US Bank statement is as good as cash!

(in reply to: Landing Funds) They did not ask me for funds....I carreid funds in a cashier´s check format. However if you bring in more than 10,000 $, you need to declare.
To be on safe side, carry the required amount.
