Subject: Landing Funds
I got my visa a couple of weeks ago and plan to land in Toronto from the US in about 5 days . Will be staying for only 48 hrs before returning to the US .

1. Do they ask for proof of funds when you land ?
2. What is the best way to show this if they ask ?
3. How much do i have to show ? I applied as skilled worker ( and i have a spouse )

You can take about US $2,000 in travel certificates and about US $7-8,000 on a US bank statement. If they ask tell them this is a scouting trip and you shall transfer funds when you are ready to settle in Canada.

US Bank statement is as good as cash!

They did not ask me for funds....I carreid funds in a cashier´s check format. However if you bring in more than 10,000 $, you need to declare.

To be on safe side, carry the required amount.
