| Subject: FBI long wait lately |
Have eveything done including medicals for past 2 months now, but FBI results wait is taking forever. It´s been 2 months since my IA letter and hope CIC doesn´t get impatient with me. Anyone else in same boat? I´ve seen posts that many are also waiting for FBI.

It takes between 8-12 months.

Brian,
FBI should take between 8-12 weeks, no more. I hope that´s what you meant to say, otherwise a year´s wait for fingerprint results would be truly scary.

I got mine in 5 weeks. They say 6-8 weeks. They have a number to call were they are very nice to tell you a status.
The delay is in loading on a system (your details). The check takes a maximum of 1-2 hours against the database. Remember they also take care of the local immigration. I called 2 times. Once they mentioned my details were not loaded. Next time they mentioned letter sent out. Look for the number on the form you filled.
