Subject: when should I update information?
  Timeline:

Application- SW Buffalo July 2005
AOR early Aug. 2005
TFL (French test) request Aug. 2005
TFL results sent Nov. 2005
Refund check for 50% reduction in fees arrived June 2006
Still no IA

Is it advisable to update information (renewed contract with my employer, funds, etc.) or is it best to just wait until they ask for such information. I am assuming wait, they´re busy enough and will ask when needed.

My timeline is similar to yours except for the TFL (I thought they only accepted TEF, n´est-ce pas?) I´m hoping that the fact that we got our refund cheques means someone is actually looking at our files and that we´ll get our IA soon. If I recall correctly, the AOR said to update CIC with changes in family composition or mailing address so I wouldn´t bother sending them anything else unless they ask for it.

I think you are all correct.

Also, you are correct, it is TEF, all of the anacronyms can get crazy.

Sorry to ask, but did you apply as a skilled worker from the USA? You´d be the first I have heard of a June 05 SW applicant receiving IA/ Medicals! If true, that is rather exciting! Please clarify.

I´m on a work permit in Canada. I applied for immigration as soon as I finished my Bachelors degree. They waived off the interview as well.
