I have heard as per the new law once you get Canadian permanent visa it is not really important to stay to get the citizenship. You can stay in any part of the world and you can just come once in 6 months to Canada and still after 3 years claim for citizenship.
Can someone please put some light on this topic if they have more information.

And where did you get this piece of info from, the CIC website
? It´s rubbish, wherever you heard it. You still need to be in Canada 3 out of the 4 years before applying for citizenship, nothing has changed. If you don´t stay in the country 2 out of 5 years you lose any clain even to PR!

Sure let´s spend 4 yrs and how much money getting PPR for Canada and don´t ever intend to live there. People like you make me so bloody mad, that´s why it takes so long for this process. Get off the list and let mine go through even quicker.....some of the idiotic questions I´ve seen on this site infuriate me at times.
