| Subject: Student Visa to Canada-Tricky situation-Plz hep |

I am expecting to get my admission letter for phd. in Canada next month for program starting in Jan 2007. I am an Indian national currently in the Uk on Work Permit ending on 30th October 2006. I wish to apply for the study permit in the Canadian embassay in London.
My first question is will they accept a student visa application as early as late september or early october?
Secondly, if accepted will they give me a visa starting in October end (keeping in mind that my program starts in Jaunary07)
Or will i have to go back to India??????

you go back to india first and plant banana.. the apply again.. if did´nt work, you still have a lot of banana to harvest..

I was in the same situation and was given the visa strictly with the days corresponding to study dates.

it is always better to apply from india bcz that is ur nation.
this is the right time. usually they give visa 2 3 mongh ahead of ur program start date.
