  Hi Menino::
I read about your experience with The Mexican Consulate:::I did not surprise me at all..And do you know why?? because I know the mexican bureocracy :is so inept and that´s one of the reasons because that country is a real mess....the attitude of the people can be terrible.
I know people who go there for vacation think is wonderful( and that´s true..just for vacations).
Well...they do not issue the criminal records certificate in a direct way, but at the mexican consulate in Vancouver I was told I could get them through them.
Try to speak with the Consul and ask him what kind of choice the can give you, because it is not possible for you to travel to Mexico just to get a paper. It just doesn´t sound logical . If they are still negative ( wich would not suprise me at all), why don´t you try to find help from the american authorities and expose them your problem. I think a petition from an American Institution will get them move their a....s and give you a civilized choice.

Luis...well, I got the Mexican Consulate to issue me a letter saying THEY don´t issue this sort of letter.
This morning I called the Procurduria General del Distrito Federal and of course...they gave me 3 more numbers to call (ah, memories of Mexico)...no one answered at the first two numbers and the third number someone answered and she told me to call the first number...and transfered me..but the transfer didn´t go through because they were cleaning the Licenciada´s office (at 9:05am) and she wasn´t there to answer the phone...Try again in 10 minutes...So...I´ll try again in 10 minutes... :)

I am sure... (in reply to: For Menino....)
I am sure you miss a lot living there as much as I do..(hahahha, I am just kidding).
Be Patient.... you´ll get it, They enjoy being like that, in many ocasions there are people working in that field who have done nothing better in their lives than working there,, so you can understand what I am talking about.
Eventually they will do their job, but they like this kind of game .
Keep trying....

Luis..one question..do you think it´s a game? I don´t think it´s really a game..I just think it´s a system. And it´s different than the one I´m used to, so it´s frustrating. Mexicans seem a lot more apt to deal with it than I was (am). What part of Mexico are you from? Where do you live now?

I call it a game in the ironic way, but obviously is a very retograde system. I don´t think mexicans are more apt to deal with it , I think they just have to take it easy because they deal with it in everyday situation and it is very tough for them.
I am from Yucatan...(it is located in the southeast of the country). I live in Vancouver and waiting hopefully to get my permanent residency very soon.

Hola Luis

Soy menino?

Hola Menino... (in reply to: For Menino....)
Buena suerte..
