Subject: may i do my medical while I am in my home country
  Dear Experts,
I have thrown this topics earlier and got some feedback but I found conflicting suggestions from various persons. For clarification I am again inform you the situation.

I am an international student in a Canadian University. I applied from Canada as principal applicant with my wife and son. My wife and
son never been to Canada. Presently I am also in my home country for data collection.
I got medical form for medical exam and they gave 60 days to complete it. My question is

1) May I go for medical in my home country with my wife and son from designated medical officer in my country? or only my wife and son can do it and I have to do it in Canada?

2) If all of us are allowed to do medical in home country where should we send the report? or doctors knows everything regarding where to send?

Please read the text and advise. Thanks.
hossen.

Yes.....I did my medicals outside the country of application and they were accepted. I have already landed.

Make sure the doctor is designated and sends the paperwork to the address mentioned on your medical forms and not to LOCAl Canadian embassy.

Good luck!

I think as long as it is CIC recognized practitioner - I cannot see any reason why not.

However, like I said before - do not do anything until CIC requests it. Otherwise it could expire before your Passport request and you will need to pay to have it done again.

Thanks to Me, Dotan,Sharon and anonymous
for your advise. I have gone though the medical form along with ohter instruction. I can do it in any place the condition is designated practitioner.
In one place they even mentioned "if possible, all family members should be examined by the same doctor"

Sharon, they waived my interview and no additional documents required at this stage and they instructed me to go for medical within 60 days. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks every body for your valuable suggestions and time.
Ahossen.
