Subject: CAIPS notes - Buffalo
Hi everybody ...wanna share some info and get comments from forum members. I received my CAIPS notes in the mail today. Under the section titled CASE STATUS,
APPLIC REC´D: 23-02-2004
WC STATUS:**
WC TYPE: **
PSDEC 0
BDEC 0
OREQ 0
PAPER FILE SENT TO LP
FILE BF´D TO: PPS ON 08-03-2005
The section titled CASE STATUS appears 4 times in the notes. Does the FILE BF´D mean that the next time my file will be brought forward is 08-03-2005. I haven´t got an IA yet ...but I do have points listed for AGE in the IMMIGRANT ASSESSMENT RECORD SUMMARY section. For all other points criteria it says 00 ...I´m guessing coz they haven´t done the IA yet.

Does the above info mean that the IA will be done in march 2005 ...coz that sounds unreasonable for Buffalo. And the "LP" under the field "PAPER FILE SENT TO" I presume are the initials of some person in the immigration office in Buffalo. However there is nobody listed on the Buffalo website with these initials ...and neither is there anybody in Buffalo with the initials "PPS" (BF FILE TO PPS).

I´m very confused about the information I have received. Please can anybody help clarify.

Thanks

Zue:

I found this website, where they provide a CAIPS notes coding kit for the price of $5 (they also provide a free sample). It does not seem expensive and this might help you understand the information you received. http://www.caipsnotes.com/Codes.shtml

I have a couple of questions for you:

How did you get your notes? Did you apply within Canada? How long did it take to receive the notes? Could your please share the process with me?

Thanks for your answers!

Good luck!

Hi Zues,

Getting CAIPS notes before IA is a waste of money as it does not tell you anything.

Hi ozz

I have the kit you sent me the link to but its not very descriptive. Thanks for the link anyways.

To asnwer your questions, yes I applied for CAIPS notes from within Canada as I am already in Canada. It took me slightly longer (about 2 months) to get the notes because my form was incomplete when I first sent it. So they asked me for more information.

Hope that helps.
